Hilfovir (Tenofovir disoproxil fumarate) In combination with other antiviral agents for the treatment of the infection caused by the human immunodeficiency virus (HIV). It is also used to treat chronic (long-term) hepatitis B virus (HBV) infection in adult patients with compensated liver disease, with evidence of active viral replication with persistent elevated (ALT) levels and histological evidence of active inflammation and fibrosis.
